Prof.Dr. Martina Huemann is internationally recognized for being one of the pioneers in Human Resource Management in project-oriented organisations. She has published widely in the fields of Project Management and Human Resource Management. During her more than 20 year career she has gained considerable experience in developing and leading people, consulting and managing projects, programs and researching and consulting project-oriented organisations.

As a Professor at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, she heads the Project Management Group in the Department Strategy and Innovation and is the Academic Director of the Professional MBA Program: Project Management.

Martina has strong links in the research and practice communities, and a broad international network. She is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Project Management. As an academic advisor of NETLIPSE, she contributes her knowledge to an international network on managing large infrastructure projects in Europe. Between 2006 and 2013 she has served on the Research Management Board of the International Project Management Association and is currently a member of the Academic Member Advisory Group at the Project Management Institute. In Austria she is a board member of Projekt Management Austria.

In research as well as in consulting and developing, she believes in a co-creation process with all relevant stakeholders. Her strengths lie in bridging issues, fields, people and organisations.
